WHO WE ARE
Bishop Dr. William L. Harris, Sr., a third-generation apostolic leader, has been the pastor and founder of Victory Tabernacle Apostolic Church in Indianapolis, IN, for over 40 years, with a preaching career spanning more than 45 years. Committed to his divine calling, he has tirelessly worked to reach the lost and was ordained as Bishop by the Apostolic Assemblies of Christ. His contributions to the Indianapolis community, including extensive outreach initiatives like street meetings and ministry in jails and prisons, earned him recognition from Mayor Greg Ballard, who declared December 28, 2010, as Bishop William L. Harris Sr. Day. Dr. Harris, who holds a Doctorate of Divinity from the Muskegon Bible Institute, is renowned for his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to truth and holiness.
Bishop Harris has been instrumental in various outreach programs, including preaching at conferences, retreats, and educational institutions across many states. His steadfast dedication to spreading the gospel and his firm stance in the face of societal changes have made him a respected figure in the community. Alongside him in his spiritual journey and ministry is his wife of fifty-five years, First Lady Linda R. Harris, a supportive partner in their shared mission.
First Lady Linda R. Harris is a divinely inspired and gifted woman whose dedication to truth and holiness shines through in her teachings at conferences, seminars, and marriage classes. She has authored two influential books, “Who’s That Lady” and “What’s Love Got To Do With It,” which serve as practical guides for living a holy life and understanding marriage. Additionally, she founded ‘The Bold & Beautiful’ women’s conference and regularly hosts retreats, providing enriching experiences for women seeking spiritual growth.
Lady Harris is also known for her community work, including initiating “Chili Monday” to feed the hungry. Her administrative and spiritual talents have significantly contributed to the growth and impact of Victory Tabernacle, where she stands alongside Bishop Harris in pastoral leadership. In these critical times, Bishop and First Lady Harris have been instrumental in effecting positive change, fulfilling their divine roles in the ministry.
